The Witch Dungeon Museum takes visitors back to 1692, when Salem was in the thick of the terrifying Witch Hysteria. It features a live reenactment of the notorious Witch Trial, followed by a guided tour of the dungeon itself, where the accused witches were flogged and tortured while awaiting trial or execution. The museum lies downtown, a few blocks west of Salem Common.
